If everything is divided 50/50 during a divorce why do I still need a lawyer?

Unfortunately, many former spouses try to take advantage of the other spouse by concealing assets, dissipating assets, or by transferring assets from one account to another. Who will get primary custody of the children during the divorce?

If I’m on my child’s birth certificate do I need to establish my paternity?
